Before you meet

• Meet in a public place the first few times.
• Tell a friend where you are going and who with.
• A short video call first is normal, not rude.
• Never send money or share card details, whatever the story.

If someone threatens to share screenshots

Report them in the app (long-press the message or use the … menu). We prioritise these reports, and in the UK sharing intimate images without consent is a crime; the Revenge Porn Helpline can help.

Who Dor Dor is for · دور دور برای کیست

Dor Dor is built for Persians living outside Iran. We do not distribute the app in Iran and we take no payments from anyone resident there. The advice on this page is for anyone whose private life carries a risk, wherever they live.

Turn on the biometric lock in Settings, keep landmarks and your workplace out of your photos, and consider "Hide from Iranian cities". Be aware of what that setting can and cannot do: it hides your card from people whose chosen city is in Iran, and because we only ever know the city a person chooses, it cannot detect someone who picks a different city. Treat it as one layer, not as protection on its own. Report anyone who pressures you to move the conversation to another app. Dor Dor never shows your phone, email or exact location to anyone.
