Why a Persian dating app

General dating apps are built for everyone, which means the things that matter to many Iranians are filters nobody else uses: whether someone speaks Farsi, whether they celebrate Nowruz, how they feel about family, faith and food. On a Persian dating app those are the starting point. You do not have to explain tahdig, taarof or why your mother will ask about their surname.

Dor Dor is also small on purpose. Every new photo is approved by a person, reports are read by a person, and the app is not distributed in Iran, so the people you meet are, like you, living abroad.

A person checks the photos

Every new photo is screened and then approved by one of us before anyone else sees it. Reports are read by a person.

For the diaspora

Built for Iranians and Persians living outside Iran: London to LA, Toronto to Sydney. City-level location only, never coordinates.

Iranians who moved as adults, second- and third-generation Persians who grew up in London, LA or Stockholm, half-Iranians, and people who simply love the culture. You choose who you want to see. The street starts in your own city and its neighbours, then reaches the whole diaspora, because the city is where someone is, not who they may meet.

Is Dor Dor only for Iranians?

No. It is built for Iranians and Persians abroad, but anyone over eighteen who wants to meet someone from the culture is welcome.

Can I meet people in other cities?

Yes. Your street starts nearby and then shows the whole diaspora. You can narrow it to your city or nearby cities in the filters, for free.

Is Persian dating the same as Iranian dating?

People use both words. Persian is the language and the older name in English; Iranian is the nationality. Dor Dor is for both.
