Date in Farsi, English, or both
Half the diaspora texts in Finglish, a quarter writes beautiful Persian, and everyone switches mid-sentence. Dor Dor is built for all of it.
Fully bilingual
Every screen in Dor Dor exists in Persian and English, written for each language rather than translated word for word. Persian runs right to left with the Vazirmatn typeface, dates and numbers follow the language you pick, and you can switch in Settings without signing out.
Your profile, your language
Write your bio in Persian, English or Finglish; the app shows it as you wrote it. List the languages you speak, from Farsi and English to Azerbaijani, Kurdish, Armenian, German or Swedish, so the right people find you. Interests have names in both languages, so a tag you choose in English shows in Persian to someone reading in Persian.
Heritage speakers welcome
Plenty of second-generation Persians understand far more than they speak. That is normal, and nobody on Dor Dor is checking your grammar. Our guide to conversation starters in Farsi has easy openers for any level.
Frequently asked
Can I change the app's language?
Yes, in Settings at any time. The first time you choose Persian the app restarts so the whole layout turns right to left.
